How Great Thou Art

Here we are a few days past the greatest Birthday Celebration in all the earth and the after effects are tremendous. To live in this world where every nation in some way, shape or form celebrated the Birth of The KING is a mind boggling thing to witness. The Scriptures say in Philippians 2:10-11 .. that at the mention of His Name , Every knee will bow and Every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. (Amen) In my lifetime right now, I am a witness to this scripture manifesting itself before my eyes at this time we call Christmas. I aint got the words to express the overwhelming joy that floods my spiritman when I consider what God allows my eyes to witness. How Great Thou Art!!! We the human inhabitants of this earth that is rich in vass-ness (is that a word?) with all the many, many countries, nations, tribes and tongues all in honor and love and reverence to the Birth that changed humanity, celebrated and showed some sort of rememberence to The Savior of the world. This time in which virtually the world stopped running in order to Honor The KING. We may speak the same language or not but we understand this one thing, and that is Christmas means that a KING was born unto us and that we recognize and honor His coming from Heaven to us on earth. We may look the same or not but we understand that the Manger that held tight the KING of Kings, was a place the Creator of the World chose to begin the life that would grant us axcess back to the Life - Giver Himself. We may or may not have valuable resources and wealth untold, but this we do know that because we have a God that Created everything seen and unseen, and the bodies that He formed from the dust of the ground, He Himself breathed the breath of life into them and put together all the parts needed to live, assembleing together the right amount of blood for perfect flow, perfect DNA to identify us as His and the vital and non vital organs installed inside to assure life. Then to top all this off, He placed into each one His Spirit that can and will always bare witness with the spirit that created it. How Great Thou Art!! So as we move forward, allowing The Manufactor to provide us with the manual that He created to help us, the product, work correctly. Let us use our owners manual properly and follow all factory instructions for a smooth and enjoyable use. The Bible is His guide book, a manual, if you will, as to how to survive down here. If we open the Book and read its riches, we can find that it has all that we need for living the godly life we were created to live. God is speaking to all who are listening for Him. He's not using the news wires, the talk shows , shopping malls, or celebreties that don't know Him. Although He could and would if He so chooses. The Bible tell us that He chooses the foolish things of this world to shame the things that are wise. (1Corinthians 1:27-) His still, small voice is heard in the quiet ,secret place in your heart where you have given in to Him. Not the earthquake, the wind, or the fire as He said to Elijah. These things are loud and boistrous and can be life altering to such a degree. But even these things don't house the voice of our Great and Glorious God. Seek for an encounter with Him as He desires to have with each of us. It will be a choice that only you can make. Where is your secret place? Be Blessed in 2010!!!

An Eagle, Angel and a Rainbow Clouddancing

It is so amazing the things you see when you look up. I am an avid sky gazer, if there is such a thing. I am in awe of this huge creation above my head. I remember as a kid in sunday school singing a song that had a verse that went something like this: "Up above my head, I hear music in the air..." It was a powerful rendention of the Majesty of God and His verbal talk to us through His creation. As I gaze into the sky, I can see so much about my Glorious God that created this beauty, who talks to us. Thats right the creation speaks to us and the Bible tells us so. Well this lovely wonder above displays such pictures and illustrations that it takes my breath away. Recently I saw on a particularily cloudy day, there in the sky , the largest eagle, formed from a cloud, I have ever seen. It took up a huge part of the sky I was focused on and yet it was so distinct. I remember commenting to God about the wingspan of this massive sight. My limited vocabulary only allows me to describe it as larger than the 747 jet I once flew on to go out of the country and the c130 my family member would travel on in the military. Both of these pale in comparison to this eagle. It stayed in the sky for a long time and I watched in awe as God allowed my eyes to see such wonder. I felt overwhelmed with joy, gratitude, love to my God . All I could release from my full cup was "How Great Thou Art". It sent me. In this same sky behind my head was a rainbow on one side and an Angel on the other side. Remember that this was a cloudy day, so peeking through the clouds was a touch of sun and there in that small amount of sun was the brightest rainbow. It was unusual because we had not had rain yet and it was days later before the rain came. I always heard that rainbows come after rain and the sun comes back. With all this "skytalk", I began to ask God to reveal to me what it all means. I have been left to figure this out and I have several conclusions since this all happened a while back. I believe the eagle is the loudest talker @ this time in my life. I will say that God will use whatever means needed to call you up and out as He is doing in my life. He is speaking so loud with the places and people He is putting in my path and me in theirs. That I can represent or dare speak for my Lord in my world, the environment He has me in currently, is an honor itself. I will shine this light onto whatever He says exposure is needed. He spoke to shepherds in the field tending their flocks, a mad man on the road to Damascus, a teenager sold into slavery by his family members and a virgin girl ,just to name a few. His voice is ringing out to all who have a willing heart to receive and do. Though unworthy, I accept this call.

LEADING

Here we are again and this time it seems that situations have occured and therefore leading has to take place rather than out and out questions. Why is that? When we want to know something, why can't we just ask rather than dropping a word here or there in a conversation in hopes of getting our inquiring minded questions answered. If one wants to know something ask. Now that doesn't guarantee an answer will be coming but isn't it easier to just ask and see if an answer will be or not. Look at how the pharisees tried to trick Jesus with their questions. I am reminded about the time they ask Jesus about tithes. The Bible said they were trying to trick Him. He simply told them to render to the image on the coin what belongs to it and give to God that which is His. He was not about to play their silly games of trickery and shannigans in which to persecute Him for. Same with people today, we us our tricks, games and such to get info. and then turn the gained info into something to spread or do damage with. If I am asked a question I don't intend to answer, the questioner will know immediately. Think of how wild fires spread. Unchecked, a small campfire(so-to-speak) can grow into a fire so large and out of control the damage will be astronomical. It all started with a small fire. In the book of James in the Bible, It talks about how the tongue is a boaster of great things. It can set things ablaze. That small thing in your mouth. Read James 3 and learn how taming the tongue is a monumental job, but necessary. The Bible also talked about how out of the same mouth blessings and cursings come forth and that it should not be so. The same mouth we praise God with we use to curse His Holy Name. Mercy !!! Father forgive us for our lack of control and unyeilding our will to the Holy Spirit. Teach us Holy Spirit to be aware of the conversations we are having with your people down here and that our words will be life as you said they would be. Help us to be ever aware that you are listening and watchful over us here in this place and that we can ask for wisdom and receive from the Creator of everything in faith. You are so good to us Father, you gave us a Wonderful Counselor, an advacate that is seated at your right hand ever inteceding on our behalf with you. Your Love for us is right next to you in the Man you sent to earth to redeem us and make all who will make Him Lord, Your special possession. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for this amazing Love.

Desire

What a time for me this is. A time to learn what is needed to get the attention of God. I can remember a time past when I was in such a want for something and that anticipation was extraordinary in that it was there and fully so until the time when the thing I anticipated so, was in my grasp. Then it was awesome and thrilling and fulfilling and all that I had been desiring. I had wanted this thing, so much, and for the better part of the day, and then it manifested and the joy!! I experienced such a pleasure and sense of "this is it", that I found myself desiring this thing often. I felt that at that moment, I was created for this thing, because the strength of this pull on my woman- ness was stronger than my own strength. Concentration on anything was difficult and some times I didn't try to concentrate, cause it wasn't happening, the desire was too strong. Here I am in this new time in my life and The Lord has placed this word "desire" again in my spiritman and this time, this awesome word is for Him. We as a people will need to have such a desire for God, that it will truly be hard to concentrate on anything else. It must become deeper than your skin, and unquenchable without His presence overtaking you. This desire for God must take your breath away. It must feel like you can't breathe without Himself indwelling your very corpusles and veins where life-blood flows. Job said in Job 10:12 " Thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit".( KJV )This visitation he spoke of was God indwelling him ,and the presence was powerfully overwhelming to him. All during a troubling time for Job. But his desire for God caused God to move in and on Job. That is a deep desire that can't be met any other way than with the presence of Himself only. Desire. Desire. What would happen when the nation desires God with passion and deep intimacy and hunger and thirst for Himself? 2 Chronicles 7: 12-16.

Hail to the King

This is amazing that as I go through this time here in this place I can know without a doubt that I am never alone. Things and situations occur that come for one purpose and that is to steal the peace that belong to each of us who have made Jesus the Lord of our lives. Two things: reaction or over reaction which one will one choose when the choice has to be made. React to the crisis with the strength that comes from releasing the crisis to God through prayer and communication with Him or over react to the crisis by in your fleshly might try to put a fix on it thereby leaving it to rear it's head again in the future. God knows we need Him in everything that we are involved with
however He will not act in the situation without being invited in. I sometimes have to repeatedly tell myself this as I try to fix everything. Until I catch myself I will try and then when I think I have fixed the crisis in a few moments,(weeks, days, months)whatever , here comes this same problem again. The thorn in the flesh issue that Paul talks about in 2nd Corinthians12 is one I am very familiar with. I have brought this issue up to God so often in my life that I had started to think once upon a time that God wasn't hearing me. Ever thought that before? Finally He has said to me the same thing He told Paul, well He added a little more for my situation and that is this: I made you this way and the things you are talking to me about are results of the process. How you react to this issue is to be based on how you feel about my presence in your life. It became revelation knowledge to me in that instant when those words from The King hit my heart. I knew that my response to this "thorn" mattered more than the "thorn" itself. What a loving Father we have in Heaven. He is so good to His children and that goodnesss spills out into every area of your life. So again react or over react which one is the right choice to make?

A New Creature

Well here I am doing something I never thought I would. Blogging. I am not so sure I know exactly what blogging is but I do enjoy writing so I will give this a try. I have been on a qwest to seek and discover the good in all things and as a result of this journey unfortunately there is also the opposite that is there. As I watch in total amazement the season change with the leaves turning colors and some of those colors are nameless they are sheer awesome, the sky displaying all manner of clouds in every shape, form, size color, trees standing at a constant attention to the creator and then there is the dirt that we walk on. This never ending material of mixture of stuff that has a important role in growth in all things green with the necessary help of rain and because God said that is how it will work. I am always amazed at the creation God placed me in. I feel like a new creature each day He allows me in. It is only on those days that my focus has been diverted to something else that I find myself somewhat lost. That can happen easily. One of my 5th graders had on a tee-shirt that said "I love vampires" with the picture of a giant red heart on it. So I asked her what she loved about vampires and her answer got me to thinking. She said that they were cool and that she would like to meet one. There I was standing there with my gold cross around my neck visible with a longing in my heart to witness about Christ. I feel constrained. So my character and visible walk is on display much like a billboard or a commercial or a flyer of some type, as a live witness to the goodness of God. I want to yell and use a mega phone if necessary to talk of how good and cool our God is. So for now I will use the means needed to talk without speaking .Did that sentence make sense?
